Really need some gurus for advice. I'm trying to install some chinese on my notebook, but, it seems that it can't read the content after I click on the .exe file. For e.g. I click on the file called 大富翁七简体中文版.EXE, it gives me an error of C:????7?????/????????. I know it got to do with the language, but, I have install the East Asian Language package. Therefore, I really at my wits end now.

Have u renamed the executable file before?Or try renaming it in english texts.If u can ever even see 1 word of chinese text means your PC is already with Chinese text language,nothing to do with it.Its the filename i presume.

bro...did you try to load NJstar....sometime the window asia language package is not able to support chinese games...

Many thanks to Adam and OB for your advice. I have managed to install the games but I still can view chinese characters from different file names and word in the text file. For e.g. when I opened the text file, it shows these funny characters.

glad TS settled his prob...
but i'd recommend Microsoft AppLocale for those who dun wanna change their system locale just for the chinese language games |
